Well that was a lot of snow.  But I'm glad it's gone.  Karla and Jon wanted an engagement shoot in the snow and that white stuff stuck around for nearly a week.  We shot this in our hometown of Fall River, just outside Halifax.  Their wedding is in May and I'm so glad I'm their wedding photographer.

Mandi and Mark have asked me to shoot their wedding...in Cuba.  Yup, looking forward to that.  But first we wanted some authentic Nova Scotia engagement shots and chose Antigonish in autumn (where they met and went to school...St. FX, of course).  It was a very fun shoot.  Cuba is gonna rock.

Jessica & Allan have asked me to shoot their wedding in May, 2010 and I can't wait to do it.  This was our engagement shoot and we had a wonderfully foggy morning at Peggy's Cove and the waves were just right to make for a very cool background.

I had already met Andrew & Ashlea - so I was already a big fan of them.  But when they asked me to do a 70's inspired engagement photo shoot, I was thrilled.  We had a great time and it made me look forward to their wedding even more - which is next week.

Melanie & Tyler wanted me to do their engagement shoot at their family cottage - which was way out there.  So if we wanted an early morning shoot, I would have to stay the night and since I was there, we might as well so a sunset shoot as well.  We all got to know each other very well and had a blast that night.  I'm really looking forward to their wedding.

Eddie & Jo-Anna wanted to do a fun engagement session so we decided to shoot on a deserted beach first thing in the morning as soon as the sun came up.  It was a very fun shoot.  

A bit of a funny story; a bunch of the wedding party saw the engagement shots on Facebook and they knew the slide show of 50 or so shots may be running in a slidehow during the pre-reception.  So what they did was dress a couple of the fellas in khakis and a little blue dress (with a bit of tequila)  and recreated some of the more iconic shots of the shoot.  They played it during dinner.  Although a few of the party was afraid I would be offended - I laughed so hard I cried.  It was very, very funny and I'm very happy they did it.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right?

Terry & Nadine asked me to shoot their wedding and do their engagement photos.  When we decided to do our engagement photo early in the morning at Crystal Crescent Beach, I was a little worried about Terry.  Terry's with the band Signal Hill and often plays late into the night and I wasn't sure how he's fare with a 6:45 AM shoot - but no worries there - these two were dancing along that deserted beach like it was the middle of the day.  I can't wait for their wedding.
